UPDATE
Sadly, after much discussion and for a variety of different reasons, we have decided to cancel HerbFest this year.
I have been honoured to be involved in the organisation of HerbFest for many years now and it has always been a source of great pleasure that we have an event that is enjoyed so much by the attendees and speakers alike.
HerbFest takes hours of administration and coordination. As anyone who has ever organised something like HerbFest will tell you, a successful event depends on a number of factors coming together in the right way at the right time. This year we have had what can only be described as a ‘perfect storm’ of issues that combined have left HerbFest 2019 unworkable as they leave us with an event that if it went ahead wouldn’t be to the standard we are aiming for and would end up losing a significant amount of money.
We hope that by cancelling at this stage people will have a chance to make alternative plans for the weekend. We have issued full refunds to everyone who has booked a ticket so that no one will be left out of pocket.
